MountMaryDietetics

The Waukesha Salvation Army's busy Food Pantry, located at 3rd and Madison. Students from the Mount Mary College Dietetic Program tour the facility this week, led by Director of Social services, Debra Farrington. Volunteers are needed each week for our Food Pantry, our free Community Meals and many other programs and services. Call Director of Volunteers, Phil Hanson, at 262-547-7367, ext. 231 to learn how you, your family, your church or an organization you're involved with can donate time to help others in need. Thank you!

In the mail:

Did you know that we give tours? Let us show you Waukesha's Salvation Army home!

(From the leader of a local group that had arranged for a tour): Thank you so much for the thought-provoking experience. The comments afterward included amazement at the extent and variety of services the Salavation Army provides to our county. The talk was fascinating; the tour was very enlightening. I hope this teaching moment spurs us to find more ways to offer what we have to give."

KEY VOLUNTEER NEEDED -- COMPUTER LAB -- WAUKESHA SALVATION ARMY

PLEASE NOTE:  Though still open Wednesday afternoons, our free Computer Lab is now temporarily closed on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. We are searching for a volunteer for this important ministry.

IT's IMPORTANT: The computer lab not only helps men and women job hunters learn how to navigate the Internet, but also to master the basics of modern software like PowerPoint and Excel through easy, self-paced tutorials. The lab also provides the under-and unemployed an opportunity to get their resume and cover letters up-to-date.

ARE YOU CALLED?: This is a wonderful four-hours-per-week volunteer ministry for someone who feels a calling to help. We hope you're interested!

If you are interested are good with computer basics, please contact Phil Hanson, Volunteer Coordinator at 262-547-7367, ext. 231. Thank you!
