- Back-to-School Food Drive: Have students bring Peanut Butter & Jelly or other lunch box items on the first day of school, registration day, parents night or any school program/activity.
- Daily Themed Drive: Designate a theme for each day of a week long drive. Examples are:
- Mac 'n Cheese Monday
- Tomato Soup Tuesday
- Whatever Wednesday
- Tuna Thursday
- Fruit Friday
- Canned Goods Admission: Accept cannded goods in lieu of a monetary admission price for concerts, programs, presentors, etc.
- MEAT the Need Drives: Help provide a much needed item to the food pantry by holding a canned meat drive.
- Multicultural Food Drive: Collect non-perishable food items from different cultures on each day of the week. Such as:
- Monday Italian
- Tuesday Asian
- Wednesday Mexican
- Thursday American
- Friday All Cultures
- Breakfast Food Drive: Collect breakfast items such as cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix, syrup, and canned fruit.
- Souper Bowl Food Drive: Collect dry soup, canned soup, canned meals and crackers around the Super Bowl.
- Holiday Food Drive: Collect holiday meal fixings such as: stuffing, instant potatos, cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, and pie fillings.
- Specific Program Drive: Hold a food drive for one of the various food security programs operated by The Salvation Army in Waukesha such as: Community Meal, Feed The Kids or Snack Pack.
- 2009 Waukesha County Schools Food Drive Challenge: The school that collects the most food during a drive in November-December wings bragging rights and the traveling trophy for the year. Click here for more information.
