The Feed The Kids program provides free lunches to school aged youth during the summer months to ensure that all children have access to a nutritious lunch even when school is not in session. This program aims to take the place of the free and reduced lunch that many families rely on during the school year to meet the nutritional needs of youth.

The Salvation Army's Feed The Kids program will kick off on June 14 and will run through at least August 20. Last Summer 567 individuals particiapted in the Feed The Kids program. A second area park has been added for summer 2010 to help meet the needs of the community in addition to partnering with the Waukesha Public Schools to dispense lunches in collaboration with their bookmobile program.
The Feed The Kids program will be in need of the following donations to use within the sack lunches:
Chips
Cookies
Fruit Snacks
Pretzels
Snack Mixes
Sandwich Crackers
Pudding Cups
Granola/Cereal Bars
Juice Boxes
Peanut Butter
Jelly
Little Debbie Snacks
Freeze Pops
Apple Corers
Sandwich Baggies
Brown Lunch Sacks
Pick 'n Save or Kwik Trip Gift Cards to purchase bread and other perishable items!
Volunteers are also needed to assist with packing lunches! Volunteer once or more during the summer. Click here for available shifts!
