Bell ringing is a unique way to experience the spirit of the season and to helping others at Christmas through the work of The Salvation Army. Sparing an hour or two of your time to help those less fortunate in Marathon County is a great way to give back and get into the holiday spirit!

According to legend, an angel appears at the sound of a bell.  And at the sound of a Salvation Army kettle bell, angels appear to support our work with the homeless, lonely and the needy.

Bell ringing is a unique way to experience the spirit of the season and to helping others at Christmas through the work of The Salvation Army. Sparing an hour or two of your time to help those less fortunate in Marathon County is a great way to give back and get into the holiday spirit!

There are 22 different locations that we have red kettles at in the Wausau, Rothschild, Schofield, Rib Mountain and Weston areas.  Our Red Kettle Campaign starts in November and runs through December 24.  We ring Mondays through Saturdays.  We do not ring on Sundays or Holidays.  The shifts are from 10am to 1pm, 1pm to 5pm and 5pm to 9pm.  If you can work within the shift schedule it would be appreciated, although special arrangements can be made if needed.  A minimum of a two hour shift is allowed.

If you would like to make angels appear, please contact our Kettle Coordinator by calling: 845-4272.

Thank you and may you have a Blessed holiday season.
