24 hour prayer

247

On July 5th, The Waukegan Salvation Army is covering our part in our divisional 24/7 prayer.  Each corps takes a day at a time and covers it in prayer.   We ask that you sign up for just one hour.  It may sound difficult to pray for an hour so try this:

  1. Pray for your needs and your relationship with God
  2. Pray for your immediate family
  3. Pray for your extended family
  4. Pray for your church family
  5. Pray for your church families loved ones
  6. Pray for those your church supports (missionaries, other churches, etc)
  7. Pray for your city and its leaders
  8. Pray for your state and its leaders
  9. Pray for your country and its leaders
  10. Pray for the world and its leaders

When you spend detailed time working your way out and bathing people in prayer, the time just flies.

Sometimes it's easy to think that prayer doesn't work or that, because we're not physically doing something that we're not actually doing anything of use.  1 John says this, "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him."  We can know our prayers are answered.  It's in His timing and in His will, but we need to have confidence in our prayers.

You can also check our territorial website for other prayer ideas.

So sign up today for an hour, and see what power prayer holds.

Questions About Times and Dates?

Thanks to the wonderful technology of Google, we're able to bring to you a full calendar of all the dates and activities that are lined up for The Waukegan Salvation Army.  This calendar is on the News Page.  All the programs are color coded according to what group the activity affects.  There are different colors for regular Corps, kids, teens, women's, men's, praise band, Senior band and Bible Study activities.  Check it out!

I think it's wonderful that the corp has a website! My children enjoy atteding Wednesday children activites. It's a great way for them to continue developing their social and spiritual knowledge. Thank you S.A!

Thank you for your kind words. We are grateful to God that we have this opportunity and strive each week to show Christ to the children. Blessings on you and your children.
