FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

SALVATION ARMY RED KETTLES DOWN $42,496

WAUWATOSA, WI. — (November 26, 2013) The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County is down $42,694 in their Red Kettles compared to this time year.

“We are very concerned that we’re down. We need additional red kettle sites, volunteers and more donations to keep critical programs and services operating in Milwaukee County,” said Major Dan Jennings, Salvation Army Divisional Commander for Wisconsin & Upper Michigan. Jennings further states, “The kettles take coins, bills and checks!”

Eighty four cents of every dollar donated supports year round critical programs and services.

Here in Milwaukee County The Salvation Army operates 85 programs. Those programs and services include but are not limited to Christmas assistance, disaster relief, emergency housing, food and clothing, utility and rent assistance, employment services and summer lunch programs for children.

To offer your place of business as a bell ringing site or to volunteer and make a donation call 414-302-4300 x2223 or visit www.SAmilwaukee.org.
